AYSO Region 25 provides Youth Soccer programs for children from ages 4-18.

The Fall season runs approximately from the beginning of September to the second week in November. Actual dates will be announced once teams are formed.

Fall Core Program

The core program is the main season offered by AYSO Region 25.  The region typically registers around 300 kids with 25 local teams.

The focus is on player skills development, game strategy teamwork and fun.  Every child who registers will be placed on a team and will play in every game.

Teams are managed by volunteer coaches who run practice sessions once or twice a week at local fields: Portola Valley Town Center, Corte Madera School, Rossotti's field, and Woodside Elementary School.

Games are played on these same fields and away games are played in interlock with our neighboring AYSO regions, typically, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Mountain View and Sunnyvale.

AYSO Region 25 fields teams from ages 4 and up to age 18.   See the divisions sections to understand what the cutoff ages and divisions are.

Coaching

All league coaches are volunteers.  If you are interested in the rewarding opportunity to coach, upon registration, make sure to complete a Volunteer Registration Form indicating the desire to coach.  You will have to complete AYSO Safe Haven training and have age-appropriate coaching certifications or attend training to obtain the relevant certifications.

Unfortunately, desire to coach does not guarantee placement as a coach. All coaching applicants, whether new or returning, are reviewed by the appropriate Division Coordinator, the Regional Coach Administrator, Regional Referee Administrator, Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate and Regional Commissioner.

Training for coaches is provided free of charge by the AYSO Region.

UK Soccer International provides coaching assistance throughout the season in the form of guiding practice sessions and running skills clinics.

Referees

Region 25 could not survive without the volunteer referee program.  We are lucky to have some of the most committed and knowledgeable Refs out there.  If you are interested in joining the crew, please sign up as a volunteer referee.  Once you submit the required forms, you will be provided skills training, both online and in person to provide you with the required certification.

Youth referees  are also welcome and may receive a stipend and/or community service credits for serving as referees. Youth referees are trained and mentored by veteran referees throughout the season. It's a great opportunity for kids to get work experience and take a leadership opportunity.
